All-American Celebrations Planned for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

As Uncle Sam is adding yet another candle to his birthday cake, guests to the Alabama Gulf Coast will be able to take in not one but three fireworks shows during a value-packed vacation to this family-friendly destination.

First to light up the sky will be the Perdido Beach Resort on Friday, July 3rd during its Annual Fireworks Gala and Barbecue. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., families can savor the finger-licking food while Mr. Big and his band keep the party atmosphere going. Adults may take advantage of the cash bar. Open to the general public, event admission is $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children under 12 years of age. Children 4 and under are admitted free of charge. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact the resort at 251-981-9811 or on web.

Individuals wishing to only view the fireworks show may watch free of charge from any public beach access point in Orange Beach.

Continuing the action, the City of Gulf Shores plans to fill the sky with fireworks on Saturday night (July 4th). Visible from any public beach access point in Gulf Shores and free of charge, the show is set to kick off at 9:00 p.m. Sunny 105.7 will broadcast simultaneous patriotic music during the show.

Meanwhile, The Wharf will be hosting its Fourth of July Celebration, which is also set for Saturday. With child-friendly games and a hot dog eating contest, the Main Street will be even busier than normal this holiday weekend. Cap off the day of fun with a free fireworks show and a stellar concert. The Wharf and the Pepsi Star Series will present Montgomery Gentry with special guest Little Big Town in a live concert kicking off at 7:00 p.m. For more information, visit The Wharf's website.
