Shrimp is king on Alabama's
Gulf Coast! Plan now for the year's biggest event
paying homage to the Sultan of Seafood.
Hold court with the King of Crustaceans, the Prince of Prawns,
the Duke of Delicacies. The 38th
Annual National Shrimp Festival (October 8-11) pays
tribute to this tasty Gulf Coast tidbit and is consistently voted one of the best
festivals in the Southeast.
Each
October, Gulf Shores Public
Beach becomes "party central"
with live entertainment, fine arts, arts and crafts, and of course, the best fresh
shrimp you'll ever have. There's fried shrimp. Boiled shrimp. Shrimp kabobs. Coconut
shrimp. Well, you get the picture.
Live
music will fill the boardwalk all day, every day of the Festival, with headliners
LeeAnn Womak(Friday night) and Foghat (Saturday). Bring a beach
chair and look for your favorite local act to perform while you sit down to enjoy
your po-boy.
Book
your trip online right now and look for special festival hot deals. You can check out the full festival line-up at the Shrimp Festival website. |
