Celebrate the sultan of seafood. The prince of prawns. The
duke of delicacies. Shrimp rules on Alabama's Gulf Coast and we invite you to
come hold court with the King of Crustaceans during the 38th Annual National Shrimp Festival October 8-11.
Every year Gulf Shores Public Beach area becomes "party
central" with two stages of non-stop live entertainment, original artwork from
regional and national artists and, of course, the best seafood on the coast! There's
fried shrimp. Boiled shrimp. Shrimp kabobs. Coconut shrimp. Well, you get the picture, Forrest.
Live music will fill the boardwalk
all day, every day of the festival. Pull up a seat and listen to favorite local
and regional acts while you enjoy your po'boy. Friday and Saturday nights feature
performances by headliners, LeeAnn Womack and
classic rockers, Foghat.
The National Shrimp Festival is an award-winning event.
It is consistently named one of the top twenty events in the southeast by the
Southeast Tourism Society and one of the top five tourist attractions in the state of Alabama.
