New Growth and Great Changes Still Happening We’ve told you throughout the year about some of the new and exciting things happening along Alabama’s Gulf Coast and want to remind you of some of them. The Conference Center at the Wharf opening this year with over 20,000 square feet of meeting space is an exceptional facility able to accommodate meetings and trade shows of all sizes. Phoenix West opened with over 9,000 square feet of meeting space and 225 luxury condominiums. Another facility able to handle meetings and events of varying size. The Perdido Beach Resort did some upgrades to bedding and bedding packages last spring, now have complimentary wireless in all the guest rooms and public areas and plan to add flat screen TVs by year end. And newly broken ground is the Hampton Inn and Suites located directly on the Gulf of Mexico and opening in spring of 2011 with 160 hotel rooms and 5,000 square feet of meeting space.
